Texas A&M University's aggieTEACH Arts & Sciences program is piloting an induction and mentoring program to support new Aggie secondary school teachers.

Committed to serving others, Austin Byrd ’24 initially planned to become a physician. But his career path completely changed when he realized during his sophomore year at Texas A&M University that his true passion was educating and inspiring instead of healing others.

The aggieTEACH Arts & Sciences Program is getting high marks for equipping students to fill Texas classrooms—and inspire the next generation.

As an incoming freshman, Matthew Morris ’25 knew he wanted to study microbiology but wasn’t as clear about his career path. As he progressed through his coursework at Texas A&M University’s College of Arts & Sciences, he came across the aggieTEACH Arts & Sciences Program.
